Import/Export a Process

ProcessRobot stores all Processes in your SQL Server Database. Therefore, there are no obvious Process files to copy or move. To copy a Process onto another computer that has ProcessRobot installed, export the Process - this will create a file with the extension .prp (ProcessRobot Process).

This file may be moved to another machine with ProcessRobot and then be imported into its database. Now, the new computer will also have a copy of the Process. This is done through Import Process and Export Process options in the Create sub-menu group.

Import a Process:

To import a Process into the Process Studio, select the "Import Process" option. Having done so, a dialog will appear and prompt you to select the Process's file (*.prp) to import.

Once the file has been selected and you have pressed the "Open" button the dialog window will close and within the Process Studio, in the Processes panel you shall see the Process you selected to import.

Export Process:

To export a Process, locate the Process you wish to export from the Processes List pane and select the "Export Process" option in the Create sub-menu group. Having done so, a dialog will appear and prompt you to select the folder where the Process should be exported to.

Once the folder has been selected and you press the "OK" button in the dialog, the dialog window will close and within the folder you selected a new file will be created named after the Process's name and with a *.prp extension.

In case the Process contains Actions with Passwords (e.g. Connect to Ancora), a password will be requested to encrypt the aforementioned passwords and enhance security of the exported file. This password is required the first time that the imported Process is executed, and every time that it is edited.
